Is this awkward or not?

I like him and he knows that but we have started to ignore each other cus we are both shy. We dont talk. We make eye contacts less only after we haven't seen each other for a day or two. I notice that his friend still stare at me but not so often. I don't know what to do i like him more and more and don't know how to start talk to him i am so afraid if he is not interested that much in me :( And what is worst i wont gonna see him 2 weeks so i was thinking about adding him on facebook. And i am not sure if he has a girlfriend. Is this awkward? What do u think? and we are both above 20 :)
