Problem with my father's inheritance, what should I do?

I am a Frenchman, and the youngest of the three brothers. My father was a miller, and had his own mill, so he made his living from people, paying him for grinding their corn. When he died, he left that mill for my eldest brother, my middle brother had some livestock (donkey), and I, the youngest, got a cat! Les partages furent bien-tt faits, ny le Notaire, ny le Procureur n'y furent point appells. For my part, I think that I was unfairly treated. My brothers can get their living by their patrimony, and what can I do with a cat? I don't hate money to hire a lawyer to set thew things right, and I have nothing to eat, nowhere to live, so what should I do?
