How to set up a dazzle to your ps3 and laptop?

i dont have a dazzle yet but i am going to get one but i have a dell latitude d610 laptop it has windows xp on it but could i still plug the dazzle up to it and record my gameplays on it and i also have a ps3 im asking this cus i dont want to waste my money if it wont work and what do you need for a dazzle?
